Phish closed their indescribable 10/31/94 second set in style, with nudity and bubbles. Following the outro “Brother, can you take me back?” refrain that trails “Cry Baby Cry,” odd sounds and vocal effects began to emanate from the stage in the form of a somewhat raunchy aural stew. While the guys mimicked some of this Lennon/Ono track’s more memorable tidbits (“Number nine, number nine...” “The situation… they are standing still!” and “Hold that line...! Block that kick...!” to name a few), the P.A. was playing some sound and music bites, including parts of Mike Gordon’s “He Ent to the Bog,” a track from the band’s very own White Tape.
