Nicely played by Trey on solo guitar with Page singing, this was a sweet highlight of the 1994 Halloween White Album set. Nearly a month later on 11/22/94, the band surprised the fans in Columbia, MO by jumping into a nice version of the song out of “The Curtain” (which itself was preceded by “Cry Baby Cry”!)

Blackbird singing in the dead of night,
Take these broken wings and learn to fly.
All your life,
You were only waiting for the moment to arise.

Blackbird singing in the dead of night,
Take these sunken eyes and learn to see.
All your life,
You were only waiting for the moment to be free.

Black bird fly, black bird fly
Into the light of the dark black night.

Black bird fly, black bird fly
Into the light of the dark black night.

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly.
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
